Obituary of Margaret Ann Powers
Margaret Ann Powers passed peacefully at her home the morning of October 12, 2017. She was 89 years old, missing her 90th birthday by only one month. She has reunited with her husband, Marvin who passed in 1997 and her son, Larry who passed in 2000. Margaret was well known in her community as a loving friend and neighbor and all who knew her loved her. Through her love of baking, she managed to keep the neighbors well supplied with her delicious baked goods. Her interests included, but were not limited to, crocheting, word puzzles and her beloved “scratch-its”. Margaret is survived by three daughters, Janice Thexton (husband, Phil), Sharon Williams and Tresa Davis (husband, Don). Having had a very large family, she treasured her relationships with all of her grandchildren: Brian Thexton, Dana Weckel, Tony Thexton, Jamie Davis, April Abernathy, Erica Keegan and Lindsey Williams. Six of these grandchildren gave her collectively, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them. Even though Margaret will be greatly missed, she has left a legacy of memories for each and every one of us. She loved us all as we loved her!
